The shop that hosted our first build was so great, I asked if we could host the second build there. They were excited to participate again and told me they are wanting to transition out of running a full time shop. They want to turn the space into a community workshop space where artisans could rent space, use a full shop worth of tools, and have access to professionals to learn from.
Building our first table for Family Affair was a no brainer. We have known Glenda and Dair for over 10 years. We reached out and asked if any of the families they worked with needed a dining room table. Thankfully everyone was well provided for, but they were in the process of renovating a house on the property that would serve as a community space and refuge. We all decided it would be a great destination for the first project.
